I know this is totally the middle of faire, but i don't plan on going out this weekend, and I was seeing if anyone else was going to be in town, and wanted to go with me.

Ok, this is a little weird, but there are three different Zombie events happening in Houston all on October 24th.  I am interested in going to some of them (all of them actually) and I would love some company.

First there is "The City of Rot"  This is happening downtown at Bagby and Rusk.  The flier I have has some limited information, but from my understanding, there will be a barrel race, fastest lock up. free style, sprints, and footdown competitions.  The entry fee is $10 (or $7 if you are dressed as a zombie).  The flier says there will be booze, so I figured that would be fun to watch.  There will also be an after party featuring Ceeplus, Bad Knives, and American Sharks.  I don't know that I plan on sticking around for the after party though.

Then there is Floyd's Zombie Pub Crawl.  This starts at Boondock's on westheimer at 6.  There will be make up artist there that will help apply zombie make up if you want.  There will then be a Zombie Pub Crawl with stops at Catbirds (on Westheimer), Mango's (on Westheimer), and ending at Number's (you guessed it, on Westheimer) at 9pm.  There will then be a show with a bunch a bands that I don't plan on sticking around for.

The third event is put on by Jennifer Pod, a local Houston artist.  This is The Zombie Bike and Pub Crawl.  This starts at La Carafe at 813 Congress.  This bar is the oldest bar in the city, and is supposedly haunted.  It is a pretty cool little place though.  The rest of the stops for the night have not yet been announced.  This event though, requires that you be dressed as a zombie though.

I plan on going up and making a day of it.  If you wanna join me, let me know.
