I dunno if any of y'all would be interested in, but I figured I'd mention it.  I am planning on putting together a volunteer work day thing here in the next couple of month (i know, i know but its just one weekend).  I am still trying to find something though.  I was hoping y'all might have some ideas.  Here are a list of things that are important:
- I'd like to work with a secular or non-religiously affiliated charity.  At least inter-faith of I can't find the first.
- Need to be able to drag a medium sized group in there one Saturday or Sunday every couple of months with little or no training to help.
-Something that makes Houston a better place.

I have been thinking about Habitat for Humanity, Houston Food Bank, The AIDS Foundation, and Workshop Houston.  Anything else?

I've signed-up my group in the UHCL Bio Club for the Houston Food Bank. It's Mon-Sat. shifts. Saturdays are only 8 to noon, so it's perfect for most people. The only problem is everyone in the group needs to fill out a waiver and create a profile online.
