I've started playing Evony with a bunch of friends from work.  It's a niftly little browser based civ strategy game.

If anyone is interested, we are on server W12 in the state of Lombardy.

 - Castillian = hero.  For some reason, that is what they called them in beta.

- good guide on what to do the first few days

Building/upgrade automator
- don't worry about anyone stealing your UID or PW, this is setup on a friend's server from work.
- instructions for how it works are here

Some basic advice
- follow the n00b quests
- don't upgrade your townhall past lvl 5 until you are ready for your seven day's immunity to wear of
- your walls should always be higher lvl than your town hall
- archers pwn
- archer towers pwn
- cavalry is for defense, not so much offense
- maximize production asap, you'll get more gold from selling lumber than you will from taxes

Note: this might get you banned.  I've read over the rules, and can't find anything explicitly stating that they consider this to be cheating though.  Everyone at work uses it, and none of us have had any problems.

Its text reads : Offer a Lv. 10-15 hero

What does that mean and when can I use it?

Click on "my items," find the help, and click the buttons.  Once you clicky it, the hero will show up in your inn.

my turn.

I have a book called "on war" and it says it increases hero's XP 100,000 or 100% of level cap (whichever is greater)
I tried rewarding each of my heroes with it, but it doesn't show up in the drop down menu.
