Not to take this out of your hands and dump it on to any one else's but last time i was at Devin's I made a comment to mouse that he had a great set up for a BBQ/ get together with that huge field right there. I know there has to be a BBQ pit around there somewhere and if not you might be able to borrow my dads if we talk sweetly and have a truck to haul it... But there are always little parks and other nooks where we can get away with stuff like this. Even Old League City park is a nice place on a sunny afternoon... Just a thought....

Mouse and I are looking for new park and I know Eva is looking like crazy! No worries it will all work out. Plenty of parks out there.

isn't there a pretty big park on highway three down by league city?  that might could work, if its open.  also, you may check into the park where the disk golf course is in seabrook.

oh jesus, i can't believe i almost forgot this option.  there is the park across the street from my house.  my neighborhood association freakin loves me.  we could totally have it there.  they have BBQ pits and picnic tables (though we may want to bring some extra tables and chairs.  there is not a pavilion or anything like that though.  just an option.

We'll find a good place regardless. I've called the Harris Co. Parks dept. and left a message asking to reserve a pavilion at Tom Bass, but I also said that any open pavilion would be good. I'll see if they call me back by Tues. but if not, I'll start making a bunch of phone calls to various parks and see if I can bypass the reservation time requirements. Like Jessica said, it shouldn't matter when I make the reservation as long as they have a place available.

Start spreading rumors that the city park pavillions are breeding grounds for swine flu and that the city isn't doing anything about it. I'm sure a reservation or two will open up.

Ok, i think i have a place, clear lake park, but I need security with or without alcohol as part of the deal and it's $25 per hour! So, IDK. I called Harris Co. and they again said all parks were full, only 1 dinky BBQ pit available per dinky picnic table. Also, called Galveston Co. and requested a phone call back from them, hopefully that will come in today.

i need to talk to my parents but they may be willing to let us use their house actually. We have a double lot backyard that has plenty of room, lots of chairs and a big ass BBQ pit and a decent fire pit.

My only reserve is that i would need A, everyone to be respectful of my house and B, people to be respectful towards my parents. I can talk to them about it if anyone is intrested, it wouldnt cost anything to use the house.

Let me know what you guys think.

Why bother paying for a park when both Dave and Devin have good parks right next door?
The park at Dave's has playground equipment to keep the kiddies busy, it has shade, and picnic tables...and swings! I vote for Dave's neighborhood park.

A couple small ones, but plenty of open space and shade for our group. Plus Daves house is next to the park.
Dave don't you have a grill we could drag across the street too?

I just received a call from Mouse saying that Eva was moving the BBQ to Jack Brooks park, Was just wondering if anyone else had heard... I don't want to bother Eva as her schedule is unknown to me and know she is busy, but I gota plan if we are going to be able to make it and every day counts at this point in time Embarrassed
