According to Pulitzer Prize winning investigative reporter, Seymour Hersh: G.W. Bush & Dick Cheney had their own personal Death Squad that traveled the world, killing people in cold blood.
"Under President Bush’s authority, they’ve been going into countries, not talking to the ambassador or the CIA station chief, and finding people on a list and executing them and leaving. That’s been going on, in the name of all of us."It seems mainstream media hasn't gotten a hold of it, yet. Though, I doubt they will, unless something makes it impossible to ignore, just like the Downing Street Memo that proved Bush was trying to manufacture a reason to invade Iraq even before the 9/11 attacks. ...This does not fill me with an overwhelming pride for my country...
"It is a special wing of our special operations community that is set up independently. They do not report to anybody, except in the Bush-Cheney days, they reported directly to the Cheney office. They did not report to the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff or to Mr. [Robert] Gates, the secretary of defense. They reported directly to him. ..."http://www.minnpost.com/ericblackblog/2009/03/11/7310/investigative_reporter_seymour_hersh_describes_executive_assassination_ringI doubt Mr. Hersh has a butt load of evidence. One wouldn't expect there to be much evidence to find regarding this kind of operation. But from what I read, he's compiling as much data he can on it for a book due out soon. It'll be interesting to see what he has to prove this. Hersh is highly regarded, and has a very long and distinguished career. So, he's not some hack. This is a guy that has a lot to lose if he's wrong.
