or any place anywhere that sells fabric? They have these books with all sorts of patterns to choose from, then you go into a bin, select to number coded pattern you're looking for, get the fabric you want for said design, take it home, cut out the patern, tac it to said fabic, and cut it out. Then sew it together per complimentary sewing instructions...

Yeah, Devin hit the nail on the head. If you want a pattern for a vest...just go buy one at a fabric store.  A Hancock Fabric or a Joann's will work. They're not hard to find....

i should have been more specific.  i meant a non-suck-ass vest.  i have tried google.  and fabric stores.  maybe i'm just too picky, but i'm having a hard time finding a good pirate vest pattern.  maybe i'll get a whatever pattern, and with some good fabric, it will make it cool.

the patterns are usually very similar. It's the fabric that makes the clothes

Bumpity Bump!! Wink

OK... So we have ideas for costumes...
1. dark Jesters
2. cardinals guard
3. Fairy godfathers
4. personal attire

We have houses that have been offered up several times as meeting places.
We have a few sewing machines among the lot of us
We have the imagination to make really rockin' stuff
We have 4 whole months to do something about it....

Any body got any ideas?

I know its hard to set up one big meeting, so maybe do smaller meetings in a one week period at different houses to try to figure out the costume idea or/and start working on them?

I really like the dark jester idea a lot.   Grin

Just find a pattern for a vest and hand it to kerry and tell her what fabric to use and tell her the mods you want done. Once you get the basic vest pattern you can add or take away to make it... non-suck-ass. Im sure you can even cut the back to look like a skull dripping with goo and ready for more... but you get the idea... and by you I mean kerry

Throwing out the weekend of Aug. 15th and 16th for a costume weekend/ celebrate all the Aug. B-days we have... I will have my apt by then but it will be pretty small so If we find a house to do stuff at and then maybe hit up a bar and any one who can stay can meet back up Sun to finish stuff off.... Let's see if this is still as hard as it was last year =)
