Realm of Ramith

So, I have Good Friday off – that makes this the last day of the work week for me. Only 2 more days working at my current job.

Today, my boss took me out to lunch (I had Falafel – What? Your kids don’t like Falafel?) and we talked about random stuff. Then there was a semi-surprise outing after work – had a get-together with a decent number of people from work, buying me drinks and stuff. It was very nice – and definitely unexpected. I’m still a little toasted. I’ll definitely miss the people I work with now – my boss has been really good to us all, and my co-workers – well, I’ve known most of them for ages.

I’ll work Monday and Tuesday of next week, and then its off to the New Job ™.

I’ve already got my email, cell phone, fax number, work number, and contact info for the new gig, so that will be nice.

Anyways, what we did tonight – we went out to the Kelvin Arms for a few drinks, and most everyone bought me a drink – which I really appreciated. Afterwards, a group of us went to the Thai restaurant upstairs from there and had some dinner – it was excellent. Then we kinda went our separate ways.

Another person kinda piggy-backed onto my farewell party – someone else at my job is leaving, and today was her last day. So that was nice – more people than I expected were there, and it was pretty fun.

I’ve got a doctor’s appointment tomorrow – got to be up early even though I have the day off, which kind of sucks. Alas, my hurting back beckons. Of course, it doesn’t hurt once I’ve had a few drinks…but I think a perpetual state of drunkenness would be bad as well (maybe bad for the people around me, at least).

I think I’ll chill at home for now and just relax – this weekend is Easter. I guess I’ll be doing the family thing.
